- CRK design is a design firm made up of six graphic designers,Chiaki Kitaya,Kaoru Emoto,Kuma Imamura,Kumiko Yajima,Yasuko Endo,Noriko Yoshiue.
- Their first craft magazine design project opened the door to their career in craft making and design.
- Today,they do everything from designing and production to book designing.In collaboration with Ms.Midori Nishida,co-author of this book,the group has generated an endless stream of creative ideas and designs for decorative edgings.
- CRK design has held a number of "beaded edgings" exhibitions mainly in Tokyo and Kyoto,in addithion to appearing on TV and sponsoring numerousworkshops.They held aworkshop at The 10th Nordic Knitting Symposium in July 2009,where the audience,made up of participants from Nordic countries,America and Asia,were swept away by the delicate beauty and charm of beaded edgings.
